 Giving the meeting a further International flavor, Cary Kopczynski gave a brief travelogue of a trip that he and Tom Smith took last month to the West Coast of Turkey. Cary displayed some beautiful pictures of the blue waters, the drab hills and the white houses.
“We traveled in a Greek gullet boat, with a 30-foot beam, a galley, and a large deck. We also found time for shopping in Istanbul and took a side trip to Rhodes in Greece. We also met a wonderful lady who was a member of the Gocek Rotary Club in Gocek, Turkey. Cary presented a flag from that club, saying that the lady will be visiting the U.S. in the next few months and will pay us a visit.
Cary’s conclusion was that “no matter where you travel in this world, you’ll find Rotarians willing to serve and waiting to make friends with fellow Rotarians.”
