Friday Potpourri President Norm asked for a moment of silence for the family of Steve and Susan White, whose son Tyler passed away October 10. Wendi Fischer gave the invocation and led the pledge to the flag. Dick Tschetter, greeted two visiting Rotarians. Auburn Rotary Past President Kip Herren and Bellevue Rotarian James Whitfield, who is a candidate for State Representative from the 41st District. Judge Jenny jumped up to invite Rob LoBosco to help her mete out justice in the SAA court. John Mix’s birthday was celebrated with a beautiful bunch of balloons and a nice serenade by the members, with Chip Erickson on the piano. Mix’s milestone was further noted by everyone putting at least a dollar on the table for the BBRC Endowment. Then, poor Rob got nailed for $5.00 for impersonating Jenny on the BBRC website. That may take some further investigating! Next was a quick session of Who’s Who in Rotary Nick Page, Chip Erickson, and Curt Cummings took their seats in front of the crowd, each with four things that they’d done in their lives. The crowd wasn’t taken in, as they saw through the test. A couple of tables had to cough up more bucks, but this variation of To Tell the Truth was refreshing! |
