CHPs Begin Clean-up Duty Chips Highway Patrol, a division of the Public Service Department of the BBRC, made a dent in the crap and clutter along I-405 in a soggy introduction to the clubs newly-minted Adopt-a-Highway program. Chip Erickson, instrumental in setting up the arrangement with the Washington State Department of Transportation, led his troops in an initial attack on our cluttered highways. The five-person crew posed in their brightly-colored work clothes during a drenching Saturday morning rain. Answering the call to Adopt-the-Highway were Chip Erickson, Brian Evison, Robin Callan, Chris Monger and Alex Rule. Thanks, gents, for your good work. Were assured the place looks much better for your efforts. A larger crew will be called upon in a couple of months to return to the site between the SE 8th ramp and the NE 4th ramp on I-405. |
