Friday Potpourri Past President Howard Johnson filled in for the vacationing Norm Johnson and showed hed not lost his touch. HoJo introduced Ernie Hayden who delivered the Invocation and led the pledge to the flag. Jim Allen greeted four visiting Rotarians: Dean Cummings, Newport/Priest River; Art King, Emerald City; John Gardiner, Vashon Island; and Frank Young, Bellevue. Steve Lingenbrink gave a pitch for the April 8-9 Retreat. The room charge can be split in half if Rotarians share a room. There are at least two cars forming a carpool for Saturday morning and more can formed. Please fill out the questionnaire on the email that was sent to all members this past week (and reproduced in this issue of the Reveille). Remember to sign up for golf on Friday afternoon in conjunction with the retreat. Ruben Ladlad is in charge. Chuck Barnes let everyone know that the Corporate Sponsor Campaign has begun for this years raffle. Contact him if you have questions. Right on the heels of Dick Browns reclassification talk, came Judge Jenny, the Sergeant At Arms. She told Dick that she was passionate about raising bucks for the SAA account and suggested he pay $50 for his blatant show of commercialism during his talk. Next, Jenny introduced a new gig that called for audience participation. A Host is throwing a party and he must figure out who the guests are as they gather at his home. Jim Allen was culled from the audience to portray the Host. His job was to close his eyes while the three "guests" alls culled from the audience were introduced. They were: Curt Cummings, portraying Arnold Schwarzenegger putting on panty hose; Shelley Noble, describing actress Hilary Swank sparring with Mike Tyson; and Steve Goldfarb, portraying Michael Jackson pumping iron. As each "guest" came to the door, Jim was to figure out who he/she was. He got two out of three (Arnold and Michael) but was battered by the ring savvy of Shelley Noble. All members paid $1.00 for the privilege of witnessing this latest Game of Games! Lots good laughs! And, good job, Jim Allen! * * * FRIDAY PHOTOPOURRI
