Turning the corner and heading down the home stretch, the BBRC Raffle in on target to reach its goal. Norm Johnson, Raffle Update Mogul, recognized the Crowded House Band, hauling in more than $7,000 in ticket sales. It’s no coincadink that Mary Bell plays first flute for that band.
Kevin Jewell’s latest figures show a total of $46,170 in the bank, with John DeWater’s bunch of bands having 57% of total sales, Steve Lingenbrink’s group inching upward with 43% of sales. Mary Bell continues to rake in the bucks, accounting single-handedly for $6,130. Needless to say, her band leads the pack with $7,270.
Vaulting into the Platinum Hall of Fame are the following $1,000+ producers: Bill Spencer, $2,000; Norm Johnson, $1,772; Howard Johnson, $1,400; Jim Young, $1,250; Chuck Barnes, $1,220; Jim Gordon, $1,132; Kim Shrader, $1,055; Tom Smith, $1,015; and the following with $1,000 in sales: Don Deasy, Brian Heimbigner, Kevin Jewell, Dick Clarke, Rick Klobucher, Carlene Buty, Tom Purdy, and Colly Radford.
