Friday Potpourri
With a warm welcome by Brian Evison, the regular Friday meeting took off. He called on
Bob Holert, for the invocation and the flag salute. Jim Gordon greeted four visiting Rotarians. Also introduced were Rachel and Sara Lingenbrink, raking in pledges for a fundraising walk. Seattle #4 Rotarian Dorm Anderson visited the press table and was introduced by John Mix as a friend from out of the past. “Dorm designed our new radio station in 1971, and early in 1972, a terrific storm hit Moscow. Winds of 94 miles per hour threatened to rip off the building’s room … but Dorm came to the rescue and saved the day.” (Small world, isn’t it?)
Bob Holert greets Steve, Sara & Rachel Lingenbrink.

President Evison praised Steve Peters, who has volunteered to fill the chair of Vocation at Work Committee.
Phil Salvatori announced the first of several weekly meetings of the Foundation Committee, Monday, October 6, 7:00 a.m., at the Kindering Center in Bellevue. They will begin the process of determining what organizations will share in the funds to be distributed by the BBRC from last year’s raffle.
