The beginning of the Evison Era was marked by President Brian opening the meeting and introducing Howard Johnson, who gave the invocation and led the pledge to the flag. Rich Hammond welcomed five visiting Rotarians and other guests. Rotarians visiting included Jim Tillman, University; John Matheson and Jim Hogue, Bellevue; and two visiting Rotarians from Indonesia, Endang R.and Paminto Adjie. Mrs. Endang R. attends an all-women Rotary Club called Bandung Kota Kembang.

President Brian praised two of our active committees for particularly successful ventures the past few weeks. Peter Powell and his Fellowship Committee received praise for their sponsorship of the Rotating the Wheels Dinner at the Red Hook Brewery, and Paul Martin and his Golf Committee, for their sponsorship of the annual Golf Outing at Mt. Si Golf Course.
