The Navys Impact in the Puget Sound Region
The military in this region forms a good partnership with the people. Whether you served in the military before or know little about it, people are always interested in the future of Americas defense. From the founding of the U.S. Navy 228 years ago to today, the Navy has embarked on a new direction, one that will totally transform the service as we know it. Admiral Herring said the major mission of the Navy is to defend the Constitution, while taking a phrase from the Declaration of Independence to protect Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of All Threatening to our way of life. The Navy has a global force, capable of striking any where, any time. A March Madness Membership Drive
Steve Luplow, manager at Ben Bridge Jeweler in Bellevue Square, joined the fray saying his firm would offer an 18-carat-gold Rolex watch to the person who brought in the most new members this month. Andrew Face jumped up to offer three, brightly colored watches as gifts to winners. Bill urged the club to invite friends and colleagues who youd like to see every Friday morning as members of the BBRC. (Your editor cautions the membership to listen carefully when these promotions come down the line. When he retired from active work in the marketplace, the club gave him a Rolodex watch, which he proudly wore on his wrist for a few moments. It proved to be too bulky, but it held a lot of names and addresses. It was not a good time-teller!)

THIS WEEK ADMIN CORNER This is also the last call for any files or storage items being held by members at their office or home. We are consolidating our archives and will be gathering up all items to be saved, placing them in appropriate storage boxes and hiding them in a mysterious place. If you have any files belonging to the BBRC, please cough them up. Contact Club Administrator (Ph 360-863-0861). Thanks. |
