President Evison opened the show, introducing Evelyn Cogswell for the invocation, followed by Bill Brooks doing the greeting of visiting Rotarians and other guests. Quite a turnout of Rotarians from far and wide: Mamoru Tanaka, Osaka, Japan; Bob Parker, Santa Fe, NM, Downtown; Sandra Brinck, Santa Fe, NM, Downtown; Scott Harrison and Erleen Anderson, Seattle #4; John Rasmussen, North Seattle; and John Matheson, Bellevue.

Lynn Gauthier put out a call for the BBRC Singers to get together for the annual St. Patrick’s Day sing-a-long at the Eastside Adult Day Center. Ask her for more details.

It was with a “heavy heart” that SAA Mary Bell lamented the announcement that Ken and Barbie “are splitting up. After 43 years, Mattel is untying the knot.” Mary said the company should have consulted her, as she knows about such things.

President Evison was called front-and-center to answer charges that escaped your correspondent. Past DG John Rasmussen was called upon to give testimony, along with PDG Dick Clarke, who then gave way to Judge Sharon Wapberg, who called on Attorney Lingenbrink to cite the citation, and it all added up to $86 on the table. No question about it, Sergeant Bell is a whirling financial dervish, leaving a cloud of dust as she collects the cash. It’s sure a good thing the economy is recovering, so we can afford our Sergeant At Arms!
