Board of Directors Meet

At the May meeting of the Bellevue Breakfast Club Board of Directors, some nominations for a Rotary Centennial project were discussed by Norm Johnson, who is carrying the freight on this one. Each club in the District and, for that matter, the world is expected to have a project that celebrates Rotary International’s 100th year of service. A meeting with City of Bellevue officials will take place soon to explore various ideas.

The board reluctantly accepted the resignations of Laura Garris and Brenda Ludwig. Laura has elected to stay at home with her new baby. Brenda was transferred to the Chicago office of her employer McGraw-Hill.

Steve Roberts, Major Gifts Chairperson, reported the BBRC Endowment – managed by the Seattle Foundation – has a balance of $84,462.

The next board meeting is the final such exercise for President Kim Shrader. This meeting is a joint meeting of the current board and the newcomers to the board for next year. It’s set for Tuesday afternoon, June 10, 4:00 p.m.. at the Glendale Country Club. In addition, past presidents of the BBRC are invited.
