Norm Johnson, fooling the members

Sergeant At Arms in the Hunt

John Martinka fined Craig Groshart, congratulating the Eastside Journal for expanded opinion pages. The fine was $1.00, because no mention was made of the BBRC.

Time once again “To Tell the Truth!” President–Elect Nominee Norm Johnson gave the members these options, one of which is false:

  • 30 years ago, he met his wife Carolyn on a Trailways Bus
  • toured the Antarctic Circle by age 20
  • January of 1970 while a member of the Vail ski patrol he saved Robert McNamara
  • has participated in many Northwest sporting events – marathons, STP

Norm did NOT save Robert McNamara while on ski patrol. Somebody else did. All the other items are true. Norm will have lots of time to tell us all the details! Fifty-five members guessed wrong and put a dollar on the table.
