snug in the moment

i'm snug in the moment
alive in myself
no expectations of the future
or wishing on that old star

i'm snug in the moment
rested and secure
no wantings driving me anywhere
yet i'm riding oh so high

i'm snug in the moment
alone, just me
grateful for all that surrounds me
and i marvel at all I see

i'm snug in the moment
feeling small and realizing
how little I really know
and that's okay, it's really okay--you know

i'm snug in the moment
remembering less and less
found the past held me back
kept me stuck in the same old place

i'm snug in the moment
letting go and riding the waves
not knowing where they are going
just riding any way cause I’m snug

snug in the moment

Classification Talk: Robin Anderson

Robin Anderson
Robin Anderson recites “Snug in the Moment,” a poem she wrote.

Born in Virginia to a submarine skipper father, new member Robin Anderson contracted polio at age four and after much therapy and experimental surgery which worked, she can walk today. She started her own company, The Art of APPROACH, in 1987. Her classification is “Marketing Maverick,” which alludes to all of the different approaches she brings to bear on the project at hand.

Robin had a sabbatical a couple of years ago and used all her retirement funds to promote the project “Trains Across Russia.”  She described it as a “trans Siberian frolic where we got all the permits but lacked the number of passengers” to make the project click.

She is the “Marketing Maverick” today, working with coaching; interior decorating; logos and letterheads; and has a special interest in writing poetry. Robin wrote a poem recently called “Snug in the Moment,” which captured her feelings at becoming a member of the BBRC.
