 Raffle Report
 compiled by Margie Burnett, CPA

The half-way point of the Raffle Extravaganza has been reached, with the Whigs – their presidential candidate Jim Zidar – pulling out ahead once again. Latest totals show the Whigs with 16,821 votes (dollars) and their opponents, the Tories, with 16,289. Grand total at this reporting is $33,110.

Raffle Chairman Steve Lingenbrink pointed out that “we have rounded the bend … halfway through the election year, and November is right around the corner. Who will win? The Tory candidate Dick Brown , or the evil Whig candidate, Jimmy Z?” Looks like the race will go down to the wire.

In the race for the most votes among the states, the State of Shock has taken over first place in the Tory Party, with 3,401. Jim Young has 1,200 of those votes. The top vote-getter for the Whigs is the State of Affairs, with a whopping 5,408 total! Joseph Brazen leads with 2,010.

The top individual producer remains Steve Goldfarb, with 2,510. The Election 2000 Raffle will continue to heat up as the November 3 ticket-turn-in date draws near. Expect to see all of these numbers increase and the outcome remain in doubt until the waning moments. [Just like in real life, huh?]
