“NoJo … HooJoo … HiHo … at least I’ve got my Mojo working!”

Ted Ederer, never one to idly ignore a creative moment, raised a question at the press table Friday about SodoMojo. Your editor was privileged to attend the Mariners-Rangers game Friday night
[7/21], opening a 13-game home stand. Almost 45,000 fans watched the Rangers disintegrate in the first inning, when the Mariners scored 7 times. By the third inning, it was 12-0, with Paul Abbott
cruising to his sixth win of the season. That, I believe, was SodoMojo.
But Ederer posed this question: Do Hojo (Howard Johnson) and Nojo (Norm Johnson) do SodoMojo? An informal survey revealed no answers. “Do Hojo ‘n’ Nojo do SodoMojo?” The bigger question is
whether you pronounce “Do” as “Doo” or as “Dough” as in “SoDOUGH.” If it’s the former, then we’ve been incorrectly pronouncing Howard’s
and Norm’s nicknames all these years. It’s really HooJoo and NooJoo doing SewDoughMowJo with Mark Hough! You never know what kind of breakthroughs occur at the Press Table each Friday morning.
Something not to be missed!
And that’s how we determine what’s news and what’s fit to print!
