Steve Lingenbrink reports good news on Golf Outing.

Results of the 2000 BBRC Golf Outing show a tremendous effort in fund-raising as a prelude to the 2000 BBRC Raffle which gets underway next week. Steve Lingenbrink reported a grand total of $38
,417 was raised at the tourney. When applied to each of the teams competing in the Raffle 2000 Election campaign, it appears the Whigs trounced the Tories! Dick Brown was the Whigs candidate
for president and he won with 23,012 votes (dollars). Trailing in the primary was Tory candidate Jim Zidar, with 15,405 votes (dollars). The funds
acquired at this stage go to pay off all expenses of the Raffle, so that each ticket sold is pure profit to the agencies benefited by BBRC benevolence.
Dick Brown, in his acceptance speech, rose to tell the audience that a conversation with Adair, the owner of the Mount Si Golf Course
restaurant, resulted in her high evaluation of the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club. “She said that the Club runs the best golf tourney during the year.
And, she gets to meet the nicest people when the BBRC comes calling.” Dick thought you’d like to know.
Howard “HooJoo” Johnson posted the Raffle Sales Site Schedule. Look for it each week in Reveille.
