Cary Kopczynski
President-Elect Cary Kopczynski fills in for an asbent President DeWater.

President-Elect Cary Kopczynski, filling in for President DeWater on the high seas for the District Conference, rang the bell and got the meeting rolling. Rob Lemmon gave an appropriate prayer for those who lost their lives in the eruption of Mt. St. Helens and particularly to his college roommate, David Johnston, a geologist for whom the new viewpoint is named.

Jim Young greeted four visiting Rotarians and a couple of other visitors.

Rourke O'Brien
Geared up for racing … Rourke O’Brien.

Rourke O’Brien gave a promo for the June 2 meeting, a breakfast set for his go-kart track in Mukilteo. He and Steve Lingenbrink (the incoming and current Sergeants At Arms) will go head to head in the “Great Race.” All members will have an opportunity to drive the raceway. Don’t miss this one!

Tim Moriarty reminded members of the June  9 Long Drive Contest. Those who have registered and paid for the golf tournament by May 30 will be eligible for the contest, to be held out the south window at the Glendale Country Club. The winner will receive a promotional prize from the Club of a complimentary round of golf for a foursome in advance of the Annual Golf Outing, July 7, at the Mt. Si Golf Course. You can register online for the tournament.
