Members of the Group Study Exchange team from District 5500, in the vicinity of Recife, Brazil, were guests of the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club Friday. Accompanied by Norris Bevan,
known as the “Father of the BBRC,” the five-person team has been in the Puget Sound region for a couple of weeks and will be attending the District Conference aboard the Dawn Princess this week. More
Work Party A Success

A BBRC work party of 12 Clubmembers and 7 Sammamish High Honor Students swarmed over the second of a series of Community Homes of Bellevue with paintbrush and paint sprayer and completed the job in record time!
Chairperson Ron Healey introduced John Therrian, Executive Director of Community Homes, which houses women with Downs Syndrome. A new facility is presently in the works to house men with
Downs Syndrome. A couple of years ago, the BBRC painted the first group home and John recognized the Club’s willingess to help his organization.
First Steps Toward Online Directory
John Mix offered an update on work in progress to install an online directory as part of the Club’s website. Larry Gill began the process of taking head-and-shoulder digital
pictures of each member before and after the meeting. This will continue for the next two meetings. Special arrangements will be necessary if members miss these “sittings.”. More

President-Elect Cary Kopczynski revealed sign-up sheets for member contributions as committee members for the
coming year. Cary asks that members consider signing up for at least two committees. The sheets will be available at meetings the next few weeks.
