Today BBRC will be hosting local high school DECA members who qualified for the International Career Development Conference which was originally scheduled for Anaheim, CA but is now virtual. Students will be making presentations to us and we in turn can give them constructive feedback to assist them in perfecting their presentations for competition.

Lori will begin by sharing how Washington DECA has transitioned programs and student opportunities in the virtual environment, followed by a 3 minute video produced by the organization to thank their long-time business partners, volunteers and judges in the Bellevue community.

DECA is an association that encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions.

BBRC financial support is instrumental in supporting students from the (5) Bellevue high schools for the International competition.

DECA Participants today are:

Newport High School – Nishita Khosla/Ananya Verma – Second place, Community Awareness Project

Interlake High School – Harvin Park/Kevin Wang – First place, Buying and Merchandising Team Decision Making

Sammamish High School – Afifah Kashif/Salma Aly – First place in Start-up Business Plan
