Our International Projects

Rotary International is perhaps best known for the international humanitarian aid and projects undertaken to improve the human condition for people around the world. Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club is please to participate in these hallmark programs as well as produce our own. Here are some of our international efforts.

Computers for the World

For more than a decade, this program has brought thousands of computers as well as the power of the internet to more than 25,000 students in various countries. It has also provided Bellevue School District students with life-changing experiences. Learn more about this vital program and the changes it continues to bring to life.

 

Water for Colombia

Clean, safe water is such a critical component for fighting disease, raising healthy children and giving communities a fair chance. This project exemplifies the power of Rotary to combine forces between clubs and districts to amplify the p0wer of investment to achieve great things. Learn more about the investments made in clean water and the changes it has brought to the communities served.

 

Eradicating Polio

This is perhaps Rotary's best known project. Decades long, this campaign has combined the efforts of some of the world's best known organizations to knock polio down from pandemic status to the point that only two countries remain with active cases. Learn more about Rotary's efforts and the remaining work to be done to eradicate this health menace.

 

Rotarian Malaria Partners

People are often surprised to learn the size and scope of the impact of malaria throughout the world where the disease is present. This very dangerous and deadly condition is a world health priority but often receives too little attention. We actively support the work of Rotarian Malaria Partners in the effort to contain, control, and eliminate this threat. Learn more.
