Bill is looking forward to discussing the Family of Rotary and the importance of having Fun in Rotary that allows us to do the good work that we do so well!
About the Speaker
Both Bill and his wife Sally were born in Seattle. They met while attending Washington State University and were married after graduating. While Sally was continuing her education at the Gemological Institution of America (G.I.A.) in Santa Monica, Bill was hired as a stock broker at Dean Witter & Co. That was the year 1977.
Bill comes from a Rotary family. His grandfather was a distinguished Rotarian with Seattle 4, so in 1985 when Bill was invited to join the Rotary Club of Kirkland he joyfully accepted. Bill was only 31 then but remembers the conversations and voting for women in Rotary and Polio Plus.
In 1990, Bill left “Wall Street” and decided to start his own company. Due to business requirements, he reluctantly left Rotary. In 1998 after relocating his firm closer to his home he joined the Rotary Club of Mill Creek. He has held various Club and District positions and is a Paul Harris Society and Bequest Society member. Bill’s passion is helping other Rotarians follow their passion.
Sally currently works as a Store Manager for Mud Bay, a northwest retail pet food store and Bill continues working as a portfolio manager in the company he founded, Guardian Plus Inc.
Living just outside the City of Mill Creek they have landscaped their 2 ½ acres where they raised their 2 daughters. It is there you will find them, usually after a day of working in the yard, their feet up on the table and Sally enjoying her champagne.
