Post Op Report From John MiX

I've conquered the Seattle Orthopedic Surgery establishment and come away barely unscratched. They had their chance and left me in pretty good shape. I'm moving around the house with a walker and getting my right leg to pretend it knows what it's supposed to do in concert with the other leg.

Surgery was 1-1/2 hours ... out at 11:30. Didn't come around until another couple of hours on Monday. Had me on Morphine for pain and it seemed to work. I really haven't felt dull, throbbing pain as I sit here ... sure it hurts if you try to get it to go in a different direction or expand the range of motion. That will take some time. We left the hospital at 3:40 yesterday (Thursday, July 14), arriving in Monroe an hour later, and I've really enjoyed my first day in rehab. They delivered a Continuous Passive Motion machine, and I have two sessions, where it expands the motion ... going for at leat 90%. I've got it up to 75% now.
