THIS WEEK

If you like cloak and dagger stuff, you’ll love Frank Enfinger, professor of forensics at North Seattle Community College and co-author of the book "Computer Forensics and Investigations." A whole new cottage industry has grown up around the CPU, with the RAM and the URL. Bring a guest and enjoy a great breakfast. It all starts at 7:00 a.m. at Glendale Country Club.

ADMIN CORNER

Marching toward the end of the 3rd Billing quarter. You’d help the hired help if you'd kindly remit any balances in the next couple of weeks. New billing goes out the first week in April.

Friday Potpourri

x0307FriPotThe first meeting of March 2005 was greeted with a large and happy crowd, welcomed by President Norm.

Jim Allen delivered the invocation and pledge. The invocation entitled “Independence.”

x0307GreetersMichael McIntosh greeted visiting Rotarians, including Ken Colling, Seattle #4, and Zul Alibhai, from Nairobi. Evelyn Cogswell performed cashier duties, John Mix took attendance, and Jim Kindsvater shot digitals.

Robin Callan is the head guy for the 10th Annual Golf Outing on July 9. Planning begins this week with the initial meeting of the committee at the Starbucks Lodge in Bellevue Square, 7:00 a.m., Thursday, March 10.

x0307JennyWendi1Judge Jenny returned looking very much like Wendi Fischer and lo and behold, those who hadn’t signed up for the Retreat put a dollar on the table! A report from Wayne McCaulley and Steve Lingenbrink said that “zero new members showed up at March’s New Member meeting at Jitters — $2.00 for an absence. Jay Powers said he’d been reading the Rotary Manual in his free time when asked where he’d been recently. He had actually gotten his name in the record book, casting about for a 47-pound salmon. He got off easy for $10.

Although this story probably should be included in the Care and Concern report, because we were all concerned whether our noble Rotarians would survive the Idaho Exercise Machine, we’re proud to report that Jim Zidar, Carlene Buty, Shelly Noble, Tom Purdy and John Mix all "went around the block twice" while raising their heart rates.
