THIS WEEK

If you like cloak and dagger stuff, you’ll love Frank Enfinger, professor of forensics at North Seattle Community College and co-author of the book "Computer Forensics and Investigations." A whole new cottage industry has grown up around the CPU, with the RAM and the URL. Bring a guest and enjoy a great breakfast. It all starts at 7:00 a.m. at Glendale Country Club.

ADMIN CORNER

Marching toward the end of the 3rd Billing quarter. You’d help the hired help if you'd kindly remit any balances in the next couple of weeks. New billing goes out the first week in April.

Classification Talk: Jim Allen

x0307JimAllenOne of our new members, Jim Allen, gave his classification talk, explaining that he and his wife Tina were married when he was 19 and she was 17. “We had our three kids early, and I didn’t have time to continue my schooling, but, my daughter will graduate from WSU this spring. My parents married AND divorced 20 times between them ... I’ve been married to the same woman for 28 years.”

Jim puts a high stake on what he calls "life education ... where you test first and then get the lesson." He sports a classification of “Financial Life Planner” and is the principal in his company Allen Capital Management and Planning in Bellevue. “I always sit down with my clients and work hard at getting to know them well before we develop their plan. We go in depth with all our clients. I’m fond of using the EQ — the Emotional Quotient — to help serve our clients.”

You’d never know that Jim is a weightlifter, or that he likes to grow bonsai. He’s got a booming voice, well-modulated to help him achieve what he wants out of Rotary: "to give back to the community." Rourke O’Brien is Jim’s sponsor; Wendi Fischer is co-sponsor.
