Mt. Si Golf Course
Mt. Si Golf Course

On a beautiful Dick Brown Day, the Eighth Annual BBRC Golf Outing went off without a hitch with 128 players vying for awards. The Mt. Si Golf Course never looked better.

Registration opened at 7:00 a.m. with Ted Ederer in charge. Mulligans were purchased to keep the players on course. The annual Rotary Day at the Mariners has been set for Saturday, August 16, against the Boston Red Sox. The first pitch is at 1:05 p.m. A lunch prior to the game will take place in the new Ellis Pavilion at Safeco Field.

There are 450 tickets available for this game. Each District 5030 Club will handle their own Club's ticket orders and fund collection. Seats will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The ticket cost is $50 which includes the game, buffet lunch, and a $10 contribution to the Rotary Foundation. This event has sold out each of the last two years.

Thought for the Week

The trouble with aging is that by the time you finally know your way around, you don't feel like going.

Regular meetings resume after the Fourth of July holiday and the BBRC Golf Outing. This Friday, hear all about The Subject is Literacy, with JoAnn Stevens and Bill Morton. These two Rotary Volunteers have traveled the world giving of themselves to help others. You’ll hear their story and why Rotary’s emphasis on literacy programs is so important. Glendale Country Club buffet begins at 7:00 a.m, followed by the weekly meeting and the program at 8:00 a.m. Bring a friend, a new prospective Rotarian!
