The Dunham Caper

Go figure. The Club gets together once a year for the Rotating Wheels Dinner and two of our illustrious past presidents can think of nothing better to do than conjure up names of people who used to be members of the Club. It’s no surprise, of course, that the two old-timers would be Don Deasy and Don Chandler. They must have gotten into it tooth and nail when Chandler mentioned Dunham’s name and Deasy couldn’t place him. They appealed to Chuck Barnes who has a Recognition List from RI. Dunham’s name doesn’t show. Deasy thinks he’s got an angle. But wait! They keep using the name “Ray Dunham,” but the recollection of the Club Administrator is we had a member named “Mike Dunham,” whose classification was insurance. Seems like he was from Walla Walla. Or maybe it was Walla.

Anyway, the issue hasn’t faded, because there’s no proof that Mike Dunham was a member. However, Mix has boxes upon boxes of files that need cleaning out and it looks like he’s found a way to get the job done! Chandler and Deasy can go through each box, searching for Mike Dunham. After all, the bet is for $1.00, and to people nearing retirement, that’s a lot of money!
