Car Goes to Olive Crest
From Brian Evison

Olive CrestAs you are all aware the grand prize winner of the Raffle, CR Anderegg, announced at the Anniversary Dinner that he wanted to donate the new car to a non-profit organization that assists children.

After reviewing the needs of 10 such organizations, he has decided to transfer ownership of the car to Olive Crest, a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse, treating the victims of child abuse, and preserving families through their programs. Children in their current care range in ages from new-born to 18. Their programs focus on rehabilitating children and families of abuse by the best means possible.

This organization was founded in Bellevue two years ago and they currently have no vehicle to help in their transportation needs.

As previously mentioned, the regulations governed by the State Gambling Commission require the winner to decide as to which organization will be the recipient of this prize, and he has chosen Olive Crest.

I hope you and your families give thanks for special people like CR Anderegg who epitomize the Rotary spirit.

Annual Holiday Breakfast

SantaOne of the year’s most enjoyable programs is slated for Friday, December 20, when the BBRC presents its Holiday Breakfast. This is the program where the kids are especially welcome, because Santa gets out of bed early to pay the BBRC a visit. Gifts for every child and a nutritious breakfast to boot! Bring your children and your spouse and have a wonderful entrée to Christmas Week. Be sure to put Friday, December 20, on your calendar for the BBRC Holiday Breakfast!

In observance of Christmas and New Years, there will be no regular meeting on December 27. The next meeting of the BBRC will take place in the New Year on January 3, 2003.
