BELLEVUE BREAKFAST ROTARY CLUB

Sergeant At Arms on the Loose

Young, Martinka
Frank Young pays the piper, cleverly disguised as Sergeant At Arms John Martinka.

John Martinka played catch-up, with a long list of infractions to take care of. Frank Young played rugby and cricket in Canada and, for bragging, was fined $50. Seems like he paid another $50 for claiming his Bellevue Rotary Club was the best darn club in Rotary.

November birthdays were noted.

Martinka asked how many members were invited to Steve Goldfarb’s Wine Tasting and Jewelry show. Not a hand went up. The SAA said for each member to put $1.00 on the table and Goldfarb would match it the next time he shows up. (Generous Rotarians gave $202 to the SAA Kitty – hope you’re reading the Reveille, Steve!)

Brian Evison was fined $20 for bragging about having lunch with new Mariner manager Bob Melvin.

Jim Owens signed a raffle stub for Mel Gibson.

And, Bob McNulty, Earl Falk, and Mike Hyodo only filled out the first stub in each pack of raffle tickets sold, and the ticket-tearers had to fill them out to comply with Gambling Commission rules. They were fined $5.00 each.
