Reality Based Learning
Polly Stansell, Reality Based Learning Company
Polly Stansell, Chief Development Officer for Reality Based Learning Company, a Washington-based educational delivery system, provided Friday’s program. Founded in 1997 by Gary H. Andersen, whose business background was in communications and multi-media educational tools – which are directly related to the learning objectives necessary for a child’s early educational foundation – it was his passion in this arena that brought him together with nationally-recognized educators to develop the RBL Learning System.
Polly, a native of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, operates as the Project Development Manager for the firm. She has had five years of classroom teaching experience, and she happens to be a neighbor of Rourke O’Brien, which prompted her appearance at the BBRC Friday. MORE
Christmas Giving Tree
This Friday is the final deadline for the gifts to be brought and turned in to Phil Salvatori, Mr. Christmas Giving Tree. All ornaments are covered, which means that a bunch of youngsters will have their Christmas dreams come true. Remember to follow the instructions on the ornament. Many of the gifts go to Hopelink and do not have to be wrapped. A select group of the gifts will be distributed at the Lake Heights Family YMCA. These gifts need to be wrapped, with the ornament attached. Phil and his helpers will be stationed in the parking lot to take your gifts prior to the meeting Friday. Thanks for all your help!
Hopelink Gift Room
The Gift Room at Hopelink is open on December 21 and 22, where people can “shop” for presents for their families. Helpers are needed to accompany the family members through the process. Contact Shelly Noble for more details.
A Special Holiday program, “Celebrating Chanukah and its Message to the World,” with Rabbi Jim Mirel. Don’t miss this inspiring program.
Just a reminder: the new monthly Attendance Report is posted in the Members Only section of the Website. Pop in and see how you’re doing. Direct any comments to John Mix.
Another reminder: December 31 marks the end of Rotary’s 2nd Quarter. New billing will go out on January 1. If you have not paid your current dues, please do so no later than December 21. You may pay by check through the mail or at the Cashier’s desk, or you may use the convenience of the credit card, also at the Cashier’s desk. If you have questions about your current bill, contact the same guy above.
