President Steve Goldfarb opened the meeting by gonging the bell. Dick Brown gave the invocation, with recognition of the passing of Hope Tuttle. Frank Young led the Club in the pledge of allegiance. Will Einstein introduced five visiting Rotarians, including Al Ficker from Hawaii.

Alex Rule said the Preserve Planet Earth project is scheduled for a Saturday in November. The committee roster contains nobody on the PPE committee. Alex said, “We’re gonna have to fix that.”

Tom Smith said the Youth Services Ccommittee has a budget meeting next week immediately following next week’s meeting.

Jay Powers had Rourke O’Brien sing the Notre Dame Victory March, since the Fight Song was recently Rated #1 among all college fight songs.

McNulty and Holert were noted wearing Husky shirts from Dick Brown’s haberdashery. Brazen defended the charge that there was a note on his dues check that said “BBRC Sucks.” Joseph translated it to “BBRC Rocks.” Mix was fined for not being able to read Joseph’s handwriting.
