Carlene Buty hears accolades from Dale Hemphill

In ceremonies Friday, Carlene Buty became the newest member of the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club. Carlene, sponsored by Dale Hemphill, enters the Club with the classification “Hospital-Fundraising.” Steve Goldfarb is her co-sponsor.

Carlene is Director of Major Gifts at Overlake Hospital Medical Center. She has worked in the field of health care fundraising for over nine years. She was previously employed at Providence Seattle Medical Center.

Carlene has been active in the community, volunteering at Providence Hospital, Regina House [a food and clothing bank], and St. Monica’s parish. Her professional associations include the National Development Officers Association (NDOA), the National Society of Fund Raising Professionals (NSFRE), and the Association of Hospital Professionals (AHP). She has also been an active member of PTA for 16 years.

Carlene enjoys painting, sewing, and cooking. She also likes bike riding, snowshoeing, hiking, and snorkeling. She is a member of the Mercer Island Women’s Club, the Italian Club, and Fiesta Italiana. Carlene and her husband, Frank Buty , have three children and live on Mercer Island.
