Lori Hairston

Executive Director Washington State DECA

The Road to Nashville

Introduced by: Rich Martin

Today BBRC will be hosting some of the local high school DECA students ahead of their state championships, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Friday March 6th. They will be making their presentations to us and we in turn can give them constructive feedback to assist them in perfecting their presentations.

DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is an association that encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions.

BBRC financial support will be instrumental in getting 18 students from the (5) Bellevue high schools to the State competition where they will have the opportunity to qualify for the International State Career Development Conference, to be held in Nashville TN on the  29th April thru May 2nd 2020. Here is the promotional video for the DECA 2020 program which is both exciting and impactful.  Watch this video –

The annual BBRC Dine Around is coming up!  This is an opportunity to gather in small group setting and enjoy a scrumptious dinner in a Rotarian home.  Get to know your fellow Rotarians in a more intimate setting.

Last year we had the snow storm of the decade so only one of the groups actually met.  This year, since we have  already had the snow storm of the decade, we should be good for the rest of the year.  Dates to be determined!

We will be putting out signup sheets to see who is interested in attending as a guest (with a guest) or as a host (with the mostest).  Stay tuned!

Contact Margie Burnett or Ann Norman if you have any questions or if you want to help out.
