Who comes to help when you’re injured or overdue on the trails?  Here in the Northwest it’s usually the local county’s Search & Rescue (“SAR”) volunteers, highly-trained “unpaid professionals” who spend their personal time helping others.   Join us to learn about how King County SAR is organized, how the SAR response model functions, the typical mission profile, and the challenges presented by growing use of our outdoor spaces.
