Kit Bowerman - Doctor, Verterinary Medicine

Dr. Bowerman will discuss ethics relating to his career in veterinary medicine, and how it can pertain to our daily lives.
About the Speaker
Dr. Kit received his veterinary degree (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from Washington State University in 1973. He practiced in Bellevue, WA. for 42 years specializing in small animal medicine. He owned the Cat and Dog Clinic of Bellevue for 32 years before retiring in 2015. During his career, Kit was also active in veterinary medical professional associations, including the Seattle King County VMA (president), Washington State Veterinary Medical Association(president), and has also received a lifetime achievement award from the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Kit was a charter member of Bellevue Overlake Rotary Club for twenty years, and past president. He is currently a member of the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club. After retirement, he attended the Western College of Auctioneering, becoming a professional auctioneer. He still enjoys auctioneering when the opportunity occurs.
Kit has been married to Jan for 38 years, and they have one son, Adam, who is 30.
