Centennial Project
The BBRC Centennial Project received one last pitch from President-Elect Norm Johnson before voting on the project closes Tuesday, February 10, at midnight. Norm emphasized that the Club and its members will NOT be responsible for raising the $1 million for the Crossroads Park project. We have agreed to support this project by donating $50,000 over two years and forming an action group that will seek funding from many places in the community. Yes, we still will have our own individual Raffle obligations, but this project does not obligate any Club member to raise funds. Members who have not voted and have ballots that have not been cast should get them in the mail to PO Box 3003, Bellevue, WA 98009-3003 before midnight Tuesday. The voting results will be made public at this Fridays meeting. The Centennial Project is a program instituted by Rotary International, wherein each Rotary Club has been requested to sponsor a community-based project in commemoration of Rotarys 100th Anniversary next year.
