Heather Trim - Executive Director
zero Waste Washingotn
Heather Trim joins us this morning to share the mission and focus of Zero Waste Washington. Their mission – To drive policy change for a healthy and waste-free world.
Their focus - Achieving Zero Waste plays a significant role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It saves natural resources. Less waste means less plastic pollution and fewer toxic chemicals in our environment. Zero Waste Washington seeks to make systematic changes that have lasting impact. This means they work on laws and programmatic changes rather than focusing on individual behavior change.
