Devon Emily Thorsell - Vice President of Operations

The presentation will give an overview of Maritime Blue as an organization including its programs, initiatives, and the innovation cluster model. It will also include an introduction to the Blue Economy and Maritime Blue's unique definition and approach. Attendees will learn about ways to engage with and participate in Maritime Blue activities.
About the Speaker
Devon Emily Thorsell is the Vice President of Operations at Washington Maritime Blue, a nonprofit strategic alliance dedicated to accelerating innovation in the blue economy. At Maritime Blue, Devon oversees HR, finance and accounting, communications, facilities, Board relations, compliance, and IT, and is a member of the executive team. Devon operationales values for non-profit organizations and creates systems that support people. Before joining Maritime Blue as the Director of Operations, Devon was the Program Operations Manager for the Washington State Academy of Sciences. She holds three master's degrees from the University of Washington: MBA (2024), Master of Marine Affairs (2015) and Master of International Studies (2015).
