This presentation will cover the efforts the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is making to combat the suicide epidemic. We will discuss the largest fundraising event upcoming in October and what the funds we raise go towards.
About the Speaker
Johnna Long is from Washington State and first joined the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in 2017 while living in New York City. She continued her involvement after she moved back to the Seattle area and joined the Washington State Board of Directors. Most recently she spent time speaking to congress members advocating two separate bills being pushed by AFSP, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Effective Suicide Screening and Assessment in the Emergency Department Act of 2021.
