About the Speaker
DARBY STANCHFIELD most recently starred as ‘Nina Locke’ in Netflix’s hit series ‘Locke & Key.’ Prior to ‘Locke & Key,’ Darby portrayed fan favorite 'Abby Whelan' for seven seasons on Shonda Rhimes’ and ABC's series 'Scandal.' In between television seasons, Darby has completed a number of independent films, including 'The Rendezvous,' 'Medicine Men,' 'Slumber,' and 'Carnage Park.' Additionally, she appeared in Adrienne Shelley's critically acclaimed "Waitress," opposite Nathan Fillion and Keri Russell, and an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" co-starring opposite Josh Duhamel. Prior to 'Scandal,' Darby's television credits include recurring roles on AMC's Emmy® Award-winning drama 'Mad Men,' opposite Nathan Fillion in ABC's crime thriller 'Castle,' CBS' 'NCIS' and 'Jericho,' and guest spots on 'Burn Notice,' 'CSI: Miami,' 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'CSI: New York,' 'The Mentalist,' 'Private Practice,' 'Bones,' 'Nip/Tuck,' 'Without a Trace,' and 'Monk.'
Prior to her television and film career, she got her start in regional theatre, and has starred in over 100 national commercials. Darby has a BA from the University of Puget Sound in Communications, with a minor in Theater Arts, and an MFA from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Fransisco.
