Kim Duncan Martin - Executive Director
Media One Foundation
After 54 years, Seattle and King County are still the best places in the world to have a heart attack. Medic One Foundation staff will provide a behind-the-scenes look at how our emergency medical system works, the critical elements for its lifesaving success, how citizens are an important link in the chain of survival, and the role the Medic One Foundation plays in supporting Medic One’s success.
The Medic One Foundation is a local nonprofit dedicated to saving lives by improving pre-hospital emergency care. By funding Medic One paramedic training, targeted research, equipment for fire departments, and CPR/AED and First Aid training for civilians, the Foundation is a major reason why our region's paramedics and firefighters achieve a survival rate for sudden cardiac arrest that is two times greater than the national average.
