About the Speaker
Steve has been a member of the Seattle Council of Navy League since 2007 and has served as its President since 2019.
He served as a Navy officer for 30 years, culminating in command of the frigate USS Ford and later the University of Washington NROTC Unit. He retired from active duty in 2007.
He worked as an operations analyst from 2007 to 2011, and then became the Assistant Director of the International Pacific Halibut Commission, retiring from there in 2020.
Steve first came to the Northwest in 1979 with Navy. He and his family have made Seattle their home since 2001.
