" The Challenge of Police Reinventing Themselves"
Sue Rahr
Executive Director Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission
Introduced by: Ann Norman
Sue Rahr, the Executive Director of the Criminal Justice Training Commission for the State of Washington and previously Sheriff for King County, will address an issue that is extremely germane to her present role. The mission of the Criminal Justice Training Commission, through their training academy, is to produce “guardians of democracy” who serve and protect instead of “warriors” who conquer and control. Executive Director Rahr will discuss this program as well as the challenges of changing both the behavior and images of our law enforcement professionals as our police departments work to reinvent themselves.
Time: The Zoom session will open at 7:00am for members to socialize . The meeting will start a 7:30am sharp, so please connect a few minutes before the meeting so we can all be together for the Inspirational Moment and Pledge.
