David Miller, with a join date of June 21, 2002, took his own sweet time to give his Classification Talk. But, it happened Friday, and this should put him on a track to get his Permanent Blue Badge. David’s classification is “Commercial Real Estate and Leasing.”

He was born in Pasadena, CA, but later moved to Michigan where he was raised in the Detroit suburbs. “I grew up with Scooby Doo. I played lots of music and enrolled at Michigan State because they had a fine music program. However, I came out with an engineering degree.”

He then moved to Manhattan Beach, CA, where he worked as an Engineer for an aerospace firm. “When the economy cooled, my wife, Mar,y and I sought a different direction, and like many Californians, we flocked to the Northwest. I also took a turn in my career by engaging in commercial real estate with Cushman Wakefield in 1989.” Today, David is a vice president for CB Richard Ellis in Bellevue.

The Millers live in North Bend with their two children, Jacob, 9, and Sarah, 5. “My job brings me in contact with people in business who have challenges in real estate. I am privileged to work with them on their sales transactions. I also do appraisal work.” One of David’s early contributions to the BBRC was his role as the drummer in two different performances: the Raffle Band, followed by that memorable moment with the Raffles (Beatles).
