YMCA Recipient of Funds
Tom Smith, Youth Services Committee Chairperson, of Community Service, presented a check to the Lake Heights YMCA to fund the organization’s activities. Tom asked, “Where do we invest the funds we raise? Friday’s presentation gave a good indication of how the money helps fulfill the Rotary motto.
Scott Sadler, Director of the LHYMCA, gratefully accepted the $3,000 check and said “the giving nature of the BBRC is amazing. We thank you for your continued support for our programs. These funds will put adults into the lives of others, particularly children.” Scott recounted three stories of how the money is used, in many cases, to support tuition for programs such as summer camp, baseball, and basketball.
