Exchange Student Ignacio “Nacho” Munoz
|
Ignacio Munoz, Rotary’s personable exchange student from Chile, gave a first-hand report of his interesting experiences during the past few months. “Nacho,” as he’s known to the four sponsoring Rotary Clubs – Bellevue, Bellevue Breakfast, Bellevue Overlake, and Bellevue Sunrise – was accompanied by his host, Chris Monger. Chris reported that Nacho spent almost two hours the night before on the phone with a female friend back in Chile. No details available on that call!
Nacho reported on his Rotary activities, with trips to Disneyland and Lake Wenatchee, and partaking in curling and sailing. “School, at first, was hard because I didn’t know anyone, but now it’s better. My first report card has 2 B’s and 5 A’s.” [applause from crowd]
Nacho is now moving to a new host family, but there is a continuing opportunity to sign up and host him to a special activity. Chris will continue to remind members about these opportunities.
