November is Rotary Foundation Month
Mr. Foundation, Chuck Barnes.

Chuck Barnes, Chairperson of the BBRC’s Rotary Foundation effort, returned from a vacation in Hawaii just in time to kick off Foundation Month. “I want to thank the BBRC for the tremendous contributions made during the Club’s 17-year existence – $200,000 in gifts over the years.”
Barnes pointed out that this year’s campaign “is unique, requiring cooperation from all Rotarians to continue support of Rotary’s powerful and dynamic Annual Fund … and giving an extra boost to what may be the final opportunity to eradicate polio … supporting Rotary’s Polio Eradication Campaign.”
So far, 60 members have committed, either by pledging or paying their commitment in full. This is exactly half of the Club. The BBRC Board of Directors has authorized a $12,000 Foundation carryover to be used in the form of matching grants to those who contribute to this year’s effort.
This means each member committing to $300 or more will receive a $100 bonus. A $50 bonus is available for members committing to $150. Barnes’ challenge is to reach the $300 level for as many members as possible. Remember, whether you put your gift in the Annual Fund or Polio Eradication Campaign, or both, it all goes toward your Paul Harris contribution.
