Acting President John DeWater

President Kim Shrader is in Ethiopia, along with club members Jim Owens and Margie Burnett, in connection with the polio eradication project. Therefore, substitute President John DeWater called the meeting to order. Mark Esteb provided the invocation and Brenda Ludwig introduced visiting Rotarians and guests.
Dick Brown reported that the new Cares and Concerns Committee is up and operating with members Dick, John DeWater, Steve Goldfarb, and Jenny Andrews. The goal is to support members, families and friends in times of illness and stress. Dick showed a plaque commemorating Frank Stillo which will be provided to Frank’s family.
Shelley Noble reminded members that we will be collecting donations at the meetings for November 1, 8, 15, and 22 to assist families in need on the Eastside. Bring something from the following list:
- 10 lbs. potatoes
- 2 lbs. carrots
- pie crust mix for at least 2 pies
- pie filling for at least 2 pies
- 5 lb. box of Bisquick
- 1 lb. butter
- 1 large jar of jam
- 10 cans of vegetable/fruit
- 5 lbs. apples
- 5 lbs. oranges
OR bring a check and we will do the shopping.
