A special note from Steve Walter...

I turned 50 recently and reflected a bit on my work, my legacy, my health, my family, my clients, and my life work. I decided this was the year for me to contribute in a significant personal way to help fight cancer. Both of my wife's parents died of cancer, each of my parents have had a type of cancer, and even I had basal cell cancer removed.

A client of mine got me interested in the Climb to Fight Breast Cancer, benefiting Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Each climber has the goal of raising $5,000 by June 1st, for breast cancer research and reaching the summit of Mt. Rainier. Our climb is set for August 4-6 this year.

You can help support me in this important project by contributing. Please click on my name INSIDE THE ORANGE BOX, upper LEFT corner of the webpage.  This will walk you through on the donation process.  You will receive an email for your records, by the next day.  Your support will help fund cutting-edge research in the prevention, detection, and treatment of breast cancer. Whatever you can give will help - it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support, and feel free to visit my personal web page for updates.

Information on how to make a tax-deductible contribution can be found below. Please feel free to share this opportunity with any interested friends or associates.   Sincerely, Steve Waltar

About the Climb

Every year, outdoor enthusiasts join together to ascend some of the world's most breathtaking mountains in honor or memory of loved ones who have battled breast cancer. The Climb to Fight Breast Cancer allows you to touch the top of states, countries and continents while raising vital funds and awareness toward finding a cure.

Although progress has been made in the fight against breast cancer, the National Cancer Institute estimates breast cancer will strike one out of eight women in her life time. Reducing these odds and finding a cure is our goal. Since 1997, our climbers have enjoyed the thrill of standing above the clouds while raising more than $5.5 million to fund critical research being done at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Mount Rainier

Individuals and teams from all regions of the United States join the Climb to Fight Breast Cancer. All expeditions are guided by professional guide services, creating extraordinary adventures for first-time climbers and experienced mountaineers.  Whether you are seeking a new adventure, pursuing a personal challenge or wish to contribute to finding a cure the Climb to Fight Breast Cancer will introduce you to a world unlike any other. Our volunteers support your fundraising and the guides provide physical training and conditioning recommendations. Determination is all you need to join this effort.
