Woodward (Mike) is the author of a series of spy tech thrillers from Penguin Random House. The first\, “The Handler” was released in June ’22. The second\, “Dead Drop”\, was recently released in May ’23.  \nPrior to his writing career\, Mike was an executive with Amazon. There\, he founded\, staffed\, and built a global wholesale Prime / Prime Video content delivery and membership acquisition platform. Starting from scratch with nothing more than a business plan and a single telecom deal\, over the next 4 years the platform grew to encompass 100+ telecom/media partners operating in 40 countries\, acquiring tens of millions of customers. A 30-year aviation veteran who received her leadership training flying Black Hawk helicopters as a captain in the U.S. Army\, Constance brings a proven track record of safety and operational excellence to the role. With a reputation for valuing people and doing the right thing\, she approaches her work emphasizing safety\, data analysis and continuous improvement in service to our guests and the frontline employee team. Constance most recently served as Alaska’s senior vice president of maintenance and engineering\, where she led all safety\, compliance and operational performance of the airline’s mainline Boeing and Airbus fleet. She previously served as chief operating officer at Alaska Air Group’s regional carrier Horizon Air from 2018 to 2019. Constance joined Alaska Airlines in 2011 and spent her initial years in various maintenance leadership roles\, including as managing director of airframe\, engine and component maintenance. Concurrently\, she oversaw the Virgin America technical operations team\, and was responsible for all aspects of Airbus fleet maintenance.\nBefore joining Alaska\, Constance spent 20 years in aviation maintenance\, including time at Pratt & Whitney Canada\, and as director of airframe maintenance at Air Canada. Constance began her career as an aviation officer in the U.S. Army\, flying helicopters and leading flight operations throughout the world. She holds an FAA Commercial Instrument Helicopter Pilot’s License\, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. DESCRIPTION:Mike Flood – Vice President\, Outreach and External Affairs\nSeattle Seahawks\nSince the start of the Seattle Seahawks franchise of the National Football League in 1976\, the fan base has been renowned for their capacity to make noise and fervently support their team. Today Mike Flood will share the dedication of the Seattle Seahawks and their fan base\, better known as the “12s” (despite claims of Texas A & M)\, to serve their communities. \nAbout the Speaker\nMike Flood joined the Seattle Seahawks on July 1\, 1997.  He helped spearhead the state-wide campaign that resulted in the passage of Referendum 48 to build the new football/soccer stadium and exhibition complex. A Seattle native\, Mike received a B.A. in Industrial Education from Washington State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of North Carolina. He owned and operated Western Flyer Air Service\, an agricultural flying service in Fort Scott\, Kansas. He served as a pilot in the United States Coast Guard and retired as a Commander in 1996 after 20 years of service. Mike serves on the boards of Camp Patriot\, the Association of Washington Business\, Permission to Start Dreaming and Empower Youth Network.  Flood was awarded the 2019 “Person of the Year” award from UNCF.  He has also received the “Outstanding Service to Veterans” award from the Washington Department of Veterans Affairs\, and “I Care About Kids” award from Mentoring Works Washington.

It also covers the criminal enforcement and regulatory missions of ATF.    \nAbout the Speaker\nJason Chudy is the public information officer for the Seattle Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol\, Tobacco\, Firearms and Explosives.\nHe transitioned to ATF from the Department of Energy’s Office of River Protection in Richland\, Wash.\, where he worked for nearly 2 ½ years.\nJoining federal service in July 2011\, he served as a public affairs specialist at the U.S. Forces Korea/United Nations Command/U.S.-Republic of Korea Combined Forces Command and as the chief of public affairs for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Far East District in Seoul\, Republic of Korea.\nBetween April 2009 and June 2011\, he served in a variety of public affairs and media-related positions in Iraq\, Afghanistan and Qatar with the Department of Defense and NATO\, including serving as a counter-improvised explosive device multimedia team program manager in Afghanistan and an Army heavy brigade combat team public affairs specialist in Iraq.\nAfter graduating from high school in May 1988\, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy\, serving 21 years\, mostly overseas\, including tours on three aircraft carriers – two of which were based in Japan – and the flagship of the U.S. 6th Fleet in Gaeta\, Italy.\nJason holds a Master’s Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.

Her experience in child welfare expands over 20 years to include work in Oregon and Washington. She began working for Washington State Department of Children\, Youth and Families (previously known as Children’s Administration under DSHS) in 2008. She provided adoption services for foster children as a front-line worker for six years prior to becoming a supervisor for a unit of adoption workers. In 2019\, Ms. Pettit became the Adoption Program Manager for the Department of Children\, Youth and Families. This position provides guidance and support to adoption caseworkers in the field as well as work with legislation and policy implementation.

Congo Peace has seen the success of this model at Ashesi University (Ghana) and in Rwanda since the 1994 Genocide. \n\n\nAbout the Speaker\nAlexis Ruhumuriza was born in South Kivu in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and moved to Rwanda when barely a teen. As a teenager\, Alexis founded a Christian school for children in Kigali\, Rwanda – Rwanda Faith Academy. \n\nWhile there\, he connected with an American mission team from Bellevue Presbyterian Church (Bel Pres) in Bellevue\, WA. He also met his wife Chantal. Through his American connections\, he and his family relocated to Washington state. He became a pastor at Bel Pres/New Hope Revival – a worshipping community of East African people. Since that time\, Pastor Alexis has also founded Agape in Home Care and Congo Peace.\n\nAlexis and Chantal have four beautiful children. He is a committed Christian who believes that with God all things are possible. Pastor Alexis is known for his engaging smile and his joyous exclamation “Hallelujah!”\n\nDean Wagner is a retired health care leader and Air Force Officer who has resided in Bellevue since 1990.\n\nHe is in active leadership roles for  various US and African and based not-for-profits.\n\nDean  was born in a small rural village in Nebraska to a mercantile and farming family. Laurel is a certified Conflict Coach\, Associate Certified Coach\, Federal Internal Coach\, Accredited Boss Whisperer (coach of leaders dealing with negative perceptions)\, and a certified mediator. Laurel joined the federal government as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2009. She has worked at the U.S. Marshals Service\, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)\, the Office of Personnel Management\, and briefly at USAID-Afghanistan. Laurel holds a BA from Columbia University\, an MS in Psychological Science from the University of Maryland\, and an MA in Comparative Religion from the University of Washington. She has volunteered as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for children in the foster care system in the District of Columbia and as a listener on a suicide support hotline in Northern Virginia. She is the mother of two amazing young children and lives in Seattle\, Washington.

Overall\, the presentation will aim to increase awareness and understanding of mental health issues among neurodivergent adolescents and young adults. \nAbout the Speaker\nJohnny has been working in the field of social and emotional skill-building for children\, adolescents\, and young adults since the early 2000s. He currently works as a mental health counselor specializing in adolescents and young adults. Additionally\, Johnny is a part-time professor at Antioch University in Seattle where he teaches classes in their Master of Counseling program. He is also the developer and manager of a program for the Game to Grow organization that uses online games to facilitate social flourishing for neurodivergent youth. Johnny’s work focuses primarily on neurodivergence and developmental well-being\, with a particular emphasis on treating common struggles like anxiety and depression in both typical and atypical development.

DESCRIPTION:Tracy Rubstello – Director of Development\nBridge Receiving Center\nTracy ‘s presentation will look at how the current foster care system is taking already traumatized children and further exacerbating their trauma by how they are being treated.  She will then share how Bridge Receiving Center is a revolutionary approach to how children can be brought into the foster care system with trauma responsive care that puts them and their unique needs first.  The Bridge Receiving Center model is one that we hope will become the standard for care not only across Washington State but across the whole US.  You will also find out about the second Bridge Center they are in the process of creating – a center for older teens who have been in care for a while but not found any permanency. \nAbout the Speaker\nTracy majored in Communications with an emphasis on Advertising at the University of Washington and has a long history of nonprofit work. She started and ran her own nonprofit that worked in Rwanda post-genocide in helping to establish healing and reconciliation as well as poverty reduction programs.  Tracy’s strengths focus on helping to cast a vision for new ways to impact the world for good\, create a community or support around those visions\, and sharing hurting people’s stories in ways that honor as well as help them. In her free time\, Tracy enjoys taking walks – especially in the woods\, reading books – especially children’s books\, and spending time with her family that includes her husband\, two grown children\, one son-in-law and a grandson.
