DESCRIPTION:Whittaker Dunn  – Vice President Operations\nDunn Lumber\nWhittaker will be talking about the history of his family’s business\, How Dunn Lumber changed to avoid being wiped out by the box stores\, and why the Dunn Family wants to avoid being landlords.  \nAbout the Speaker\nWhittaker Dunn is a 5th generation member of the Dunn Family. He started working at Dunn Lumber at the age of 15 during summers and school breaks.  He received a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Hillsdale College. After getting married he returned to Seattle in 2016 to begin working full time for his family’s business.\nWhittaker is currently the VP of Operations and a Committee Member on the Dunn Lumber Family Council.  In his work he oversees purchasing\, deliveries\, facilities\, and maintaining Dunn Lumber’s culture. He lives in the Green Lake area with his wife and two sons\, his sister\, her husband\, and their four children.
