Ryan will give a brief overview of IRS CI, who they are and what they do. Ryan will also discuss the types of cases they work, and if time permits, he will conduct a mini mock investigation.
About the Speaker
Ryan Thompson began his career with IRS Criminal Investigations in 2001 as a student intern, and then became a Special Agent in 2003. He has worked a variety of cases to include tax, refund fraud, and narcotics. In 2007, Ryan was assigned to the Innocence Lost Task Force, where he worked alongside agents from the FBI and other local police departments to combat human trafficking in the Puget Sound region. He has served as a defensive techniques instructor since 2004. In 2013, Ryan became the Public Information Officer for the Seattle Field Office.
